It depends on which size ports on which intake will work the best, I have change the bolt pattern size to fit Dominator carbs. on more than one intake, the last one was a Indy dual 4500 tunnel ram that I wanted to run a set of 4150 type throttle body with them in line for the linkage shruggy work
On your deal make sure that the throttle blades will clear the intake manifold once you mount the carb by changing the bolt pattern scope

What head and rpm range are you looking for?

Not sure what you mean by best so you'll have to clarify that a bit. I assume you mean the best that you can afford so that most likely means something like a Super Victor or Indy 440-3. Personally I like the Super Victor better than the Indy stuff.

If you really want a good intake then you need to send it to someone like Wilson Manifolds for their porting magic. Once you do that then you'll have a good intake.

I have the big Indy on my 512 RB with an 1150 Dominator. I have Victor Max wedge size ports and all intake work was done by Roger Lechtenberg. You may want to do a google search on that name! laugh2

Ok, that raises another question. Do you have standard port heads or MW port heads? If you have standard port heads then the Indy stuff won't fit. You might be able to find a Mopar M1 4500 intake. They work pretty well and are usually fairly inexpensive since they aren't super popular.

The Super Victor is available with std ports for the RB block.

The 4150 manifold is easy to convert to the 4500.

1) screw aluminum bolts into the bolt holes
2) cut them off flush
3) drill and tap the new 4500 pattern
4) open up the plenum to clear the 4500

I am not suggesting that the 4150 manifolds are better than the 4500 manifolds. Just a heads up on how easy it is to convert one. One of my favorite manifolds was a Holley Street Dominator that I converted that way. Worked real good and fit under the hood.

The Super Vic intakes are both the same casting imo,you can open the standard to max wedge . Plenty of meat there . That is what i did when going stockish to max wedge .
When fitting to non raised stock port i did have to cut a little top and bottom of intake face for clearance
