I guess it depends on HP level .

I can give you the baseline from the instructions , but I am guessing you have those.
There are a good number of threads about this in the history here and on yellow bullet for starters......you can read enough to get thoroughly confused.
I am in the process of installing mine , so I will use a test day or two to see what it likes.........after the snow melts.

Depends on weight and HP, a heavy car has more mass to move and with a hi HP engine, it will work the suspension system more, requiring more extension control. Front end suspension travel is important, this helps the weight transfer to the back wheels and also helps control suspension rise. This what I've found, it's an E Body but the principle is the same. Watch what the car is doing, slo mo video helps a bunch and adjust from there. Good shocks (front and rear) with at least 5 inches of front suspension upward travel, starting on the bottom hole with equal preload (set with someone of similar weight in the driver seat) Again watch what the car does, wheelie, spin, porpoise or move left / right and again adjust accordingly.
You may get the car to run perfectly first time out but in my experience it takes some tuning and understanding on how stuff works. All cars are different and changes to the combo will effect how the car reacts, again this is what i have found.

Mine uses A-body length springs but in a B-body.

I use the lower hole for the bars and no preload but just touching the top of the spring.

On the shocks, I use the Rancho/Calvert 9 position shock set on 7 to control extension. Before, with regular shocks it would porpoise badly.

On the front I use 90/10 CE shocks and removed the upper control arm bumper for more extension.

It 60ft's in the mid 1.60's now which is about 1/10 off of what it did with Superstocks. It is, however much more consistent, smoother and goes arrow straight. The last event the car e.t.'d within a hundredth all day long.

I installed the same exact parts in my 71 Demon, all supplied by Calvert. A-body mono leaves, Rancho 9 ways (set on 5) 90/10 CE's up front, Dana 60 w 3.73 gears, frame connectors, stock front suspension minus the sway bar. Switched from MT Drag Radials to 26x10.5 MT ET Street R bias ply tires (4 speed car, likes the bias plys). It hooks like a beast on the street.

69 Dart 315/60-15 M/T Pro Street Radials DOT, 4.10 gears, 3500 pounds. Caltracs top hole with Viking D/A set at 6 reboundand 14 compress. The t60 ft was 1.38 with quarter mile 9.8s We slowed the car up by taking the hood seal off and adding some weight and it 60 foots around 1.43 consistently and runs 10.0 or 10.1s. It’s street driven some, with a 440/512. The single adjustable Calvert shocks didn’t work for my car. I changed to the D/A shocks in th rear and it made a world of difference. That’s footbraking.

Just remember to video every run.. get the
video from a quartering angle from the rear
so you can see the whole side of the car..
you will learn more from a good video than
you will by guessing whats happening.. keep
trying even when you think you have it right..
good luck
