Great video. Factory stock to me is where it's at. I can relate, you know?
John, does this change your mind about the Gen III engines lol!

I always liked Pawuk when he was racing. Those were still the good ol' days of Pro Stock and he was one of those little guys I rooted for.
The FS stuff is neat. NHRA needs to make it a stand alone deal and get it out of Stock eliminator. It's messing up the class. And Pro Stock needs to continue to be promoted as the top of the food chain NA gasoline class. If it takes mountain motor cars, that could make it interesting again.

Great video, Thanks … i hope he does come back next year, now if A.J. could find a little more power it would really be great.
It takes the big three to make the class its own breed.

Wonder if they are running at the fall Vegas nationals?
.....anyone know what trans they are running? I know early dragpaks were offered with th400, but I know Pro Trans made a unit for them too.

Love it. This is the problem as I see it, NHRA tries tp promote the driver-teams, driving generic cars (NASCAR). Drag racing has always been one brand of car against the others, drivers come and go.

Awesome. What sort of $$$ would it cost to get into an 8.0 second Dodge ?

I have heard rumors of $250K being spent.
Thanks for posting John!

Glad you guys enjoyed this as I know I did. I hope NHRA refrains from ruining the class and lets the big 3 fight it out. I love the fact that some big name racers are driving the class forward.
Not sure of the cost on the Dodge. I have a friend who has a new COPO & it was $100,000 & that seems to have been a really good deal. But the good part is, they really seem to be truly enjoying racing again. He had raced alcohol funny for years & it was very, very costly. So now he can race a "fast" car again, not quite funny times. But at least they are back in the game w/out breaking the bank

Elite/Patterson at Indy listed the COPO shootout engines starting at $62k.

I agree. They are interesting, exciting, the factories are involved which is good, etc. But they should have their own deal with their own rules and stop mucking up Stock Eliminator.
