Pretty cool event if you are into period correct '64 and earlier drags. Mo-Kan itself looks just like it did in the 60's.

The HAMB pre-party on South Rangeline in Joplin on Friday is a sight to behold taking up 4 hotel parking lots with cool rides.

We will be racing there Saturday and will be pitted near the e.t. shack. Come say "Hi".

Yes!

We go there at least 2-3 times a year.

1964 cut off? That's so weird, it sounds "old" but it allows max wedge, race hemi, BBC (NASCAR), Z11, 421 S-D, Olds 425, and FE high rise.
Most vintage LSR etc. have much earlier dates, to coincide with serious trends in engine development.

Are the rules available on line?

I used to get kicked off the hamb every time I posted this picture. Cars in background are newer than 1965 they said. Stuff it I said.

We like to go to the HAMB drags, unfortunately this year we won’t be going, have a family gathering this Saturday....

I like going to the HAMB Drags & taking my 35mm with some B&W film & trying to get shots that show only period stuff with nothing new in the background. The grainy look of the 35mm B&W just isn’t replicated by new digital cameras.
