I don’t know how much of a generator they’d need, but I’m sure it wouldn’t take long to pay for it with that kind of electric bill.

This is starting to happen with even residential accounts with peak demand charges, etc. Pretty scary. The only way solar power can pay for itself sometimes is by comparing the solar cost to peak demand charges.
It would be criminal to close another drag strip in that region.

Yes I do, almost every weekend for the past 25 plus years! hopefully Melissa will get it straightened out. Something is really wrong somewhere! She doesn't need this after just spending big $$$ for a new septic system.

I hope they can get thru this problem, on a good side. with all the rain outs its tough to pay the bills.
Melissa, John and the crew do a great job for the racers.

Melissa posted on the track Facebook page that she has verbal confirmation from the power company that mistake was made and rates will be dropped to were they belong. Not in writing yet but she is optimistic its fixed.

I was there last night until around ten o'clock and all the lights were on. Apparently the local media both tv and newsprint got involved and were beneficial in resolving the situation. Alternative power sources are being looked into. ... on another note I heard last night that Raceway Parks license to operate as a drag strip has been renewed .., don't know if that's the state, local or NHRA.
