Hey guys what are you all using for small block headers?I'm currently putting together a 360 and 904 that should run low 12's to high 11's.I assume a standard truck pan will work?Any feedback appreciated thanks

Dakota pan and pickup tube. Hooker comp headers.

Hooker 5803 is what you need. Standard truck oil pan won’t fit. Needs to be Dakota/Durango style oil pan.

It's a 91 that has a 4 cylinder,5 speed short bed.Son is 16 and wants to bracket race in summit high school class and street class.I'm using a 71 360 block,.060 over, scat I beam rods, icon forged flat tops, ported 2.02 j heads that went 10.8's on my demon, rpm air gap intake,hp 750 holley,904 with 10" ati.I was hoping someone made a bigger header than 1 5/8".My experience with hooker headers is the flanges don't match the heads very well. When I searched for a oil pan all I found was 318 pans.Anyone know what these trucks weight? Thanks

Use a factory magnum oil pan. They weigh anywhere between 3100 to 3300 lbs depending on how they are equipped.

For the low hp combo your asking about the 1 5/8 headers are not a problem. Let us know if you find a great header for an early Dakota.

Hey thanks for the pics. Nice looking Dakotas there. My 91 is also a sport but in blue. But my 91 the cab was rusted out at the front cab mounts etc. I ended up buying a rust free 87 long bed. It’s a V6 auto truck. So decided to pull the cab off the 87 and put it on my 91 SB frame. What kind of E/T are you wanting to run? Mine should be in the low 11 in the 1/4 if I ever get it done. Lol also thanks for the pics

The first truck has run low 6's 1/8 mile, pump gas hyd cam ,3.73 gear,3500lb(w driver) drive up to 80 miles to the track street truck. Can't comment on the later version, still testing stuff.
