Hoosiers are great tires--they know what they are doing--you can get some great info by calling and talking with them I find they have the right compound on the tires for intended application
The super soft is for guys that can buy a set every 8 runs and be on top every pass like NHRA specialty classes
Your size is a "meat and potatoes" size so it is well scienced
Remember that all drag racers do way too much burn out --watch class racers at a national event and you will see what it really takes Burn out less win more rounds

Small burnout will get you a few more runs on the D5 compound slicks.
A heavy car those slicks will be done after about 30 passes. Sidewalls go 1st. But they do hook great.

I run them in the 33x16 size. Stiff side wall D5 compound at 2700lb car...2950 with me in it. Got 24 passes on them so far, and I plan on a lot more before the seasons end. 60fts are so repeatable, its scary....The D06 compound we always had a little slip. Now the car is carrying the tires.
