No, it's not some kind of disease. It's the new Trick Flow Small Block Mopar head to display at Carlisle. While they haven't been released yet :(, Eddi at Trick Flow came through for me and sent the head that was displayed at SEMA.

If you're going to the show, or were thinking about going, get out there and stop by to see us at locations A9-A10. You can get a firsthand look at the small block head, and we will have an inventory of the big block 240 and 270 heads available at a show special deal.

There will also be custom rockers, manifolds, valley tray, a variety of other parts, as well as tech info. See you there!

Nice!

I may be the only person here who forgot that Carlisle is this weekend.

Not sure that I'm going, but will definitely stop by to say 'Hi', if I do.

I am looking at putting a set of these heads on a cookie cutter 4 inch flattop motor.
Hoping to run 10.20 ish with them. We will see if thats realistic.
Havent decided on roller or flat tappet. Easy way out is flat tappet as i have all the stuff to do that.

Have you gotten a rough pricing idea
That’s a 6.50 1/8 mile pass
Are you gonna use them straight out of the box
Keep us posted please

From what i remember when i called them they said 1099 each set up with roller cam springs. Complete with all good hardware. So about 2200 bucks.
Yes, plan to have them checked over and then run them as is after any corrections needing done, if any found.
Pretty well scienced out port. Doubt i would want it modified from how it comes until and if somebody acts as a guinea pig first. They said leave it alone.
With them being 60cc as delivered, with my zero deck flattop shortblock and an 039 gasket it should be around 12.75 to 1 compression.
Will get a bigger set of headers( 1 7/8) a victor intake to replace the airgap i run on my 360, and have my convertor adjusted for the new combination.
With the appropiate camshaft hoping the thing would run 128-129 mph at 3270 pounds.

Well, the weather forecast for this weekend is good news. Low humidity, and moderate temps.

Porky, I'm sure you aren't the only one. I remember after my vehicle sticker show up in the mailbox, lol.

Brad, I hope you can make it. Looking forward to chatting with you again.

For the questions about price, I've heard the same prices in the past that b3422w5 posted, but since I can't get a preorder price out of them, as a dealer, I don't think they have anything set in stone yet. They will prob8ably have to assess the r&d cost right before release, and price accordingly.

Anyway, for those on the fence, come out to the show. The weather is going to be nice this year.

I'll wait for them to release one with a 220 plus cc intake runner hopefully down the road.

That would have the potential to make enough steam to break a production block

I check calibration on my bench on every single head I flow and I'm at 318 cfm on an Edelbrock head with a 2.08 valve. The mid lift numbers on that head 200 @.300 on up are lacking and a 2.05 intake valve would have been a real bonus with a little more work. I know this is aimed for a dirrect bolt on but that could have still been accomplished. Not many street or even street-strip guys are going to run a 650-700 lift cam and no that head isn't up to breaking a stock 360 block unless something was done wrong.

Those flow numbers are better than out of the box W2 heads?

Much better!!! The stock W2 heads I’ve tested maxed out at 260 cfm @ .450 and then started backing up (declining). That’s still some nice numbers at .450 and it’s no wonder they ran great.
