440 intake manifold question - 07/04/18 04:16 PM

On a basically stock 440 engine, would either of these two intakes be a better choice, an Edelbrock CH4B or an Edelbrock Performer RPM?

the rpm has the potential to make more power but may or may not fit under the hood. the ch4b would be my choice for power improvement and ease of installation in a stock or near stock 440.

If you have another choice, the Holley Street Dominator works very well and has a low profile.

My car came with a CH4B on it. I have a new Performer RPM I had bought previously for another car and never used. Just thought if the RPM was a better choice I would swap it out but it sounds like the best thing to do is just leave the CH4B on the car. Thanks for the advice guys.

If you have driven that car for a while with the CH4B why not see if the new RPM performer will fit and drive better than the older CH4B work scope twocents
I have buit and used several different 440 type intakes, both single and dual plane, and I really like the Eddy Performer RPM intakes on both B and RB, stock stroke 440 and stroker cranks motor in both RB and B with stock 440 size intake ports, especially on a street car up

I'm kinda' with Cab on this one.

If you already own the Perf RPM AND it fits under the hood with no major gymnastics, I don't see any downside to using it.

But, if you sold it for anything close to what you paid for it that money could be used for something special, like diamond earrings for the wife. Or a new driver. Or a very nice dinner.

It's your choice!
