Steel Shim Head Gasket Compressed Thickness?

Steel Shim Head Gasket Compressed Thickness? - 07/01/18 08:22 PM

I'm trying to figure out what numbers to put into the compression ratio calculator?

I have a set of: Mopar Performance Steel Shim Head Gasket Sets P4286754 -link

The part number on the actual head gasket is #3614824

The advertised compressed thickness is 0.020"

I mic'd them at 0.015"

My question is, will the embossing give the gasket a compressed thickness closer to 0.020"? Or will the compressed thickness be closer to what I actually measured; 0.015"?

use .015" number. mr.gasket has a .020" gasket if needed; IIRC #1135g.

The new one is 0.0355"

The used original is 0.0195"

The OEM 4.320 bore size(measure around 4.410 bore size) 440 stamp steel head gasket is suppose to be .017 compressed work
The earlier 361, 383, 413 and 426W Mopar OEM stamped steel head gasket was .022 compressed with the 4.320 or so bore size shruggy
