What exactly would the car in image #95 classify as? It looks like they couldn't make up their mind.

From the pics with crowd shots - it looks like attendance was way down compared to last year. In 2008, I believe they announced 33,000 paid spectators on Saturday not including the pit population.

The reports I heard was it was jam-packed ?

Some of those parts pictures look like a "Chevy Graveyard"..

Kind of like the Airplane graveyards in Tucson, AZ.

It WAS jam packed....it was also TOTALLY off the hook partying in the pits....I've never seen it crazier...sat night there we're a total of 7 different bands playing plus us with our drive-in movie...fireworks everywhere ....but it was COLD ...well 39 sat. night...LOL...I did fairly well went out in the 3rd round ...stagged the car pushed the TB button floored it and the car launched got the LBFA on the ticket...I was pissed....oh BTW Bill...Dart went 10.758 out of the box on the new Hoosiers....so I was a lil off the 10.77 from a year ago....LOL

Friday was liter but saturday was mob city, all 4 Famosa parking lots filled to the top. Parking up/down the highway by the orchards 1/2 mile in each direction. Total saturday crowd was estimated @ 36,000..

The crowds were like the old saturday nite crowds @ Lions, Irwindale or OCIR.. Everytime the nitro funny cars staged the crowds went to the fence, the bleachers were jammed even the aisle ways had people sitting there. Nitro fumes in the air and monsterous burnouts..

Totally blown away.
