Any W2 W5 Experts ? - 04/19/18 05:12 PM

I picked up these heads recently and were told they were w5 , but they look a little different to me. They have no casting #s or manufacturer name. They are aluminum rectangle intake port and D-port exhaust, any help would be appreciated , Thanks!

I had a set of Battan heads on my flowbench years ago and was shocked by their numbers. Problem was this set was FULL and I mean FULL of old crack epoxy.

I agree...look like Arringtons but more pics would help. They are basically the predecessor to the W7s.

If there Arringtons make sure to have them pressure tested

I know of and have seen two other sets, both sets not serviceable from mods and cracks.

I hope if you paid much for them they had test paperwork and if your going to use them id surly get them looked over well and tested as mentioned.

Good conversation/history parts but actually using them might be more hastle then its worth.

No such things as gently used on them old heads.

How jacked are the chambers? Probably o ringed as well.

I'm thinking they are Diamond rectangle port W2 , the Battans appear to have freezeplugs on the end and these do not. They were o-ringed at some point and 1 chamber needs to be repaired.

It looks like Diamond made W2 heads with square or D-shaped exhaust ports. Found both styles on forabodies. https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/thr...diamond.360464/

They are for sure Diamonds. Look on top of the intake runner, there should be a P435.... casting number. I have a set also... that need lots of work, but they are a serious small block head!! Ive got a few intake manifolds if you need one
