I try to support yah, really .. I do

but, ordered Friday, just showed up, they billed me shipping too on a $250.00 order

which fine, I'll live with but, of course as the last time I ordered from there , stuff missing

Makes it tough to go back and order more there

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 05:37 PM

Every place else does , that's my point

but, wanted to buy these items from them ( master cylinder + stuff)

Now, its another 4 day wait for parts
Posted By: bigdad

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 05:39 PM

They are going to send the parts, just more time involved

It is not the 1st time they shorted my order, why I quit buying there in the past but, tried again

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 07:13 PM

Unless you see where Mancini specifies a free shipping deal, you gotta expect to pay for it. They probably don't do 5% of the business that Summit or Jeg's do and simply wouldn't have the leverage w/ the big shipping companies to get big enough discounts to be able to cover the ride.

As far as botching up the order... that's a different issue. I don't recall having issues like that w/ Mancini, but there were a few orders I received from COMP Cams where there was always something wrong... like ONE wrong retainer out of a set of 16. That sh!t drives me crazy.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 07:38 PM

spent thousands with them ...been there done that several times even with Wes ......never got things rectified.good luck

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 08:02 PM

They need to , they owe me 90 bucks so I will see what happens and if not ,call my CC comp and dispute the charge

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 08:03 PM

Same here. They are local to me. I have been there 5-6 times mind you over 20+ years and nothing has changed. Still the same to this day & screwed something up or tried to sell me something I didn't want or wasn't going to work for what I was trying to do. Told myself I would never go back again.

I needed something one time on a Saturday. I figured I would give them one more chance. I called them, they say they have it in stock. I tell them I am on my way. I drive the almost 1 hour to get there, walk in & ask for what I wanted. Oh, we don't stock that. It would be special order. Ugggh, I was pissed.

My buddy talked me into going with him one last time. He actually benefited from this visit. He ordered & picked up a ton of stuff. Once we get back to his house we are unloading everything & I grab the last load & the paper work & noticed they forgot to bill him for his frame connectors & roll cage.

Wow , how in the world can they be such a mess..seems someone would notice and try to correct it

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 08:26 PM

I don't buy much from there, mainly ARE products or Superformance stuff. However I shopped what they charge for shipping and it is pretty fair. They beat Hughes by 5 or 6 bucks on shipping some Superformance gaskets I needed.

The biggest issue I have had with them is shipping time, it takes a little longer to get stuff from the order to out the door but I plan on that now that i know what I am up against.

I did notice it and while I would love to support a MoPar vendor like Mancini I have given up on them as well.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 08:40 PM

sometimes mancini is a crap shoot. I expect the shipping costs but I don't expect substituted parts or sub standard parts. I just pick and choose vendors anymore depending on my needs.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 08:48 PM

Shipping costs, fine .. but slow 1st time, then to wait for 2nd time

well.. not so fine then

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 08:50 PM

I now buy from Hughes
Pricing is better too.
Posted By: Silver70

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 09:02 PM

I've never got free shipping from mancini. I also get their emails with discounts and never fails, the stuff I need is excluded from discounts. So I haven't bought anything from them in at least 3-4 years. I hate they don't show your total when you place the order also. I looked and see it's the same way now.

As far as being short parts... they should be addressing that issue asap and shipping expedited.

I can drive over to Mancinis but I dont buy a
lot there.. just things I need in a hurry or cant
get else where(not often).. they know me over there
and I dont get a discount..but at least I dont pay
shipping... 99% of the time I buy from Summit and they
are fast and free shipping over $99

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 09:29 PM

I used to buy just about all of the parts I needed from Mancini when T.J. (Tony) was with them. I haven't bought a single thing from them since he left.
Posted By: JAMESDART

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 09:44 PM

I had a couple issues with Mancini and I will probably never use them again. Bought some of thier own products and they just plane didn't fit. Guy talked to me like I was a moron and didn't know what I was talking about. He told me he was confident these parts would work
Together, he would even go get them and test fit them. Which, ok that's cool. But they probably should test their products before they put them for sale. He was wrong. Stuff didn't fit. Told me ok ship them back and we'll give you a refund. I said ok can you send me a shipping label. He says oh no that's on you if you want a refund. I decided it was in fact my fault, I shouldn't have bought from them, won't do that again.

The shipping is what it is. I don't really know how anyone can ship for free, but it's nice when your buying.

It really annoys me when a part is left out of an order if they don't even tell you anything. Let me know.

Dr diff sells master cylinders and adapters in fact, I just bought them from him... and one was left out. It happens I guess.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 09:50 PM

I wish I had known that , I would of bought from him ..

just got email, they mailed the adapter .. so, knowing USPS ..

I'll see that maybe .. May 1st

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 09:51 PM

Im in flint an hour away from Mancini, but it cost me more and have to wait longer to get the parts. I dont understand why it takes 4 to 5 days or longer to get an order from then. I quit buying there.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/10/18 11:08 PM

Last time I used them I got a call from them DAYS after I placed my order, informing me they didnt have what I ordered. Havent used them in YEARS because of it.

Sometimes small businesses stay small businesses for a reason.

Had the same thing happen when I called them. Nothing like biting the hand that feeds you.

And some people wonder why Jegs and Summit get so much business.

They are almost on my way home, I stop in there all the time, sorry, but they treat me right. Very helpful when I have had problems

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/11/18 12:39 AM

They gave me a hard time while making a purchase many years ago that gave me a bitter taste so I don't use them much, I have bought a few things over the years but their shipping prices are ridiculus so I use Jegs or Summit, I bought my TTI headers and some valve covers for my D150 from Todd at Marsh Performance and he was great to deal with, I will buy from him again.

Todd at Marsh is a pleasure to buy from!!! I spent some pennies there and he stocks SUPERPORFORMANCE and a bunch of. MOPAR stuff

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/11/18 04:37 AM

I've had luck buying specific things from them - water pump housing kits, throttle cables. Spoiled by amazon prime for sure (we use video, music, alexa, and free shipping), but summit doesn't ship cheap either.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/11/18 05:57 AM

I have spent thousands with Mancini Racing. Do they make mistakes? Sure do! Have they made things right? Every time. I fully support a company that seems to make it to all the shows and swap meets, again and again.
Sooner or later, we will have no vendors at the shows, and no parts to see first hand.
One day, we will only be able to view pics of parts online, add to cart, and hope for the best.

iagree Todd's a great guy. His website isn't very user friendly, but just call him...if he doesn't answer (he's busy) leave a message and he WILL call you back. Even after 6PM sometimes, he still calls you back.

Having said that, Mancini has always had my orders right and on time. Having to call and talk w/ someone there can be frustrating though.
I'd rather give Todd the business.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/12/18 10:48 AM

I buy almost anything I get from Mancini at shows. I've had issues in the past, but it was so long ago, I don't remember what they were. I just told myself I would use them sparingly, and I have.
I ordered a billet rear main seal retainer this past winter, and it came without incident. I don't like not having a shipping quote on stuff, either. I try to avoid ordering from them just because it's a headache. If someone else makes a billet retainer, I will likely use them in the future.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/12/18 03:40 PM

I used to buy EVERYTHING Mopar from Mancini and recommended them to everyone I knew.

Then came the debacle of them claiming a Moparts member discount!

Has ANYONE ever been able to get this?!

DON'T advertise discounts if you don't plan on honoring them.

I bought a brand new 8 3/4 third member from them that the adjusters look like you took a chisel to them. Absolutely beat to hell! Brought to their attention and even posted pics here. No response...

There were more examples but these are the two I recall at the moment.

pretty sure i've left a comment about being a moparts member when i ordered from them. it got me a 10% discount or free shipping each time. it showed on the emailed receipt.

i just figure shipping will be 10-15$ with any order that isn't huge parts.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/12/18 04:46 PM

I used to buy a lot there but never felt like I was a valued customer after Mike Schenk passed away. I have a shop and they set up a wholesale account for me but everytime the pricing was different, making it impossible to quote anything to customers. I buy from Chicago Connection and get fast service and very fair prices and good advice. I like buying from stores, keeps the big guys in check.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/12/18 05:54 PM

I gave up on them when they stopped going to Carlisle. Why would you stop going to the show that is your bread and butter? Doesn't make any sense. That was the only way to get free shipping, show delivery.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/12/18 05:54 PM

I think the moparts code gets you a 3% discount. I've ordered from there only a few times mainly due to shipping cost. I haven't had a problem other than seems like it takes longer than most places to receive the items. This Christmas they had a 10% sale and their Trick Flow heads were cheapest I found and they allowed the 10% discount off them, so I got them for just a little over $1800 for the pair, great deal if you ask me.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/13/18 04:59 PM

I've had great experiences buying through Mancini. They were invaluable during the last build with lots of last second parts runs.

I bought my Eddie heads from them probably four or five months before Edelbrock severely dropped the price. Was a difference of $300 if I had waited - I was pissed. Mancini was under no obligation to do anything for me, but still offered me a fair amount of store credit. Promptly used it to buy more odds and ends. Hell, they've even let me borrow tools in the past.

Place has been great to me in my experience.

I doubt I've purchased much from them since they stopped going to Carlisle, either. I can't say that it goes hand in hand, but it bothers me they no longer make the effort to support that large of a show where they had been a fixture traditionally.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/15/18 09:59 PM

I preordered a few parts from Mancini and prepaid and I was supposed to pick up the parts at Carlisle, so I didn't have to pay for shipping.
When I went to their tent to pick up the parts, they had no information or record of my order and the parts were not on sight. I left empty handed.

Re: Jeeez, Mancini ..really ? - 04/16/18 01:34 AM

I thought it was just me being a West coaster, but this shows I am not alone.

I too would try and buy from them partly because they would make the trip out for the Spring fling show and MATS. I ask why they quit they said "they did not sell enough to justify the trip" I told the guy they were losing contacts and loyal customers.

For me every order has had a problem. I gave up about 1.5 years ago. I get my Superformance gaskets and TTI stuff from Glendora Dodge now
