Looks like the barb/pushloc fitting is a 3/8" npt and the adaptor is also to go into a tee for them all.[or a 1/4"npt?]

I got an extension to back out the bulb and not restrict flow but hope it won't effect the reading 1" back from the direct flow.

I need a male center to bring the tip in in the tee.
What do you think?

I have something similar to this and like it. They are available in different sizes.

Any reason you're pulling temps from the line vs. the pan?

That is coming out of the converter, which is as hot as is going to get. If the fluid is getting hot enough to burn the oil that is the only place you can find out.

However I would agree that the fluid temp in the pan is interesting and that would tell you the coolest the oil is at the time and if it is too hat and could damage transmission parts.

I have done it both ways.

Interesting manifold and would be ok with electric temp sensor looks like but the bulb on the mechanical would need an extension like I show or it would bottom out.

I run mine with a mechanical gauge with the same type adapter typically used in the intake manifold for the water temperature gauge.

I went with bigger Tee,update on parts list after the gauge came with a bigger adptor on the bulb and for more flow by it.
