The NEW KB block

The NEW KB block - 03/30/18 06:08 PM

To those that don't know, I'm wedgeFED's Dad. And I have his new KB low deck wedge solid block in my shop. I've had almost a week to look it over and check it out. This block is a work of art. The entire block has been deburred, every machined area or surface could not be any better. Main bores, lifter bores, threads perfect. Even put a light in the oil passages. All the transition points are flawless, no burrs! The cylinders still have .010 left in them per my son's request

Everyone responsible for the production of this block, should be very proud. I know from experience that the cost of this block has to be astronomical. To the owners: honesty and integrity is the foundation for any successful business. Trust in God. and good luck to you

I just wanted to share with everyone that the new owners of KB have bent over backwards to make my block deal right. Had a little hiccup with head studs and Tim Banning jumped right on it and had another set of studs shipped to me in a very timely manner. Everything is perfect and I am a very happy Guy. Hats off to Tim and Darren and everyone else involved for such a great product and excellent customer service. Todd Marsh has also helped me out a lot with things that he did not need to do and is always there to help. Next post will be of things happening with the dragster.

Geez, 4 days from merpar's post and only a few replies.

Compared to all the bashing that went on with this block ( and I understand why to you guys that were owed blocks ) but man I thought there would be a whole lot more happy people.

I agree with Transman. Merpar, can you post some pics of the block? And updates on your progress would be great.

My son and I ( WedgeFED ) will be posting lots of pics I'm sure. His project, a front engine dragster. With the new KB block, will be 510". Mine is a rebuild after a blown engine, then contact with both walls in Las Vegas in 2011. Its a 73' 350 SL mercedes. Now with a low deck solid KB block. Comes in at 483". Being painted this weekend after a long, long rebuild. Yeah ozy, I think my money tree died. Know where I could get a new one?

The members who are owed blocks are rightfully skeptical, and most likely feeling burned and too P'ed off to respond. As for others replying, if you're not part of that clique the replies will be few if any.

Great news, BTW. I hope he posts pictures, ASAP!!!

I like it. Something different. You should have campaigned that to Mopar when Daimler was involved!
