Any BOOSTane users here?

I haven't used an octane booster for years but the gas quality ain't getting any better. BOOSTane looks like it's something that might work if the reviews and tests I found online are real. Anybody here using it with verifiable improvements?

I use Torco. BOOSTane is a copy of Torco.

I have been looking at these water meth injection systems. They can increase octane rating by up to 20 points.

Too bad I no longer have access to the gas chromatograph machine I used years ago. It would be interesting to tests samples of a variety of "octane boosters" and "race fuel concentrates" to see what's really in them. penguinhat

The one thing in common that I've seen from the ones that are supposed to actually work (to some extent, at least), is MMT. Yes, MMT helps increase octane... but it's the additive that you may have seen is also responsible for leaving an orange/rust-looking deposit on the spark plugs. I have no idea how O2 sensors handle being exposed to that stuff short or long term.

That would be interesting. I started using the Torco Accelerator with my dirt bikes. Saved an incredible amount of money, the bikes ran cleaner (even the 4 strokes), started easier, especially in cold weather and made the tune up more consistent.

After that, I tried it for street/strips deals and it worked as well as lower end race gas and was cheaper.

Only did two dyno tests. One verses straight pump fuel. The Torco picked up ~8-10 hp everywhere over pump gas.

The other was verses a 110 race gas. At 12:1 there was no difference in power between the two.

I've requested a SDS (Safety Data sheet) twice from them.....still waiting.

I've used Super104+ just because it seemed to have decent reviews on octane booster tests. I don't know if my car even needed it but I felt better having it in there.

Can anyone provide input on the effect MMT deposits have on O2 sensors?
