moparplate with alternator - 02/28/18 05:13 PM
Can you guys post some pics of your motorplate with alternator setups. Looking to go that route in the future and just want to see how others have done their's and what all I might need to do the swap, since I currently use a stock alternator and brackets.

No picture, but mine was turned around "backwards" with the pulley end towards the back of the car, due to a lack of room, and mounted to a frame rail. An alternator will work running backwards.

Will be an A body with stock k frame and BB, so room is limited, so ideas are good.

I have a stock K frame in my BB Duster. The small Denso alternator fits in there just fine.

This is the large body GM 100 amp 1 wire mounted with the Jegs SBC chrome $30 mount in a 63 "B" body.

I cut the adjusting slot into the plate itself. Welded a pivot extension to the water pump housing.
