I had Manley h beams when I sent my hemi out to be redone.Builder made a mistake on the replacement 4.5 stroke crank and said he would replace the rod due to me having chevy ends and the Callies crank he bought had Chrysler ends. After 5 years I had to freshen it again and found Eagle rods.Checked and they are good to 1500 HP.

Eagle rods here with ARP 2000 bolts. They take a beating...

Callies now makes a billet 7.1 rod..I have never run those.

The super stock guys all run Oliver rods with Bryant cranks. Those guys are not easy on parts...

If you are using 7.10 long rods with 2.200 and 0.990 ends then there will be a ton of choices. My guess is that any 7.100 long rod made will handle 800 hp. That size isn't popular enough to attract the real bottom feeder crowd. If it is a budget engine I'd use Molnar or SCAT. If the budget is more generous then step up to Oliver or Callies. I doubt I'd use Crower or Carrillo or anything like that unless it was a LSR application.

This^^^, and get the best fasteners.

X2 on Molnar for best value

I've got about 180 passes on my Molnar 7.100/2.200/.990 in my wedge. Nice ARP 2000 bolts. Bearings look perfect during this check. Balance was with-in 1 gram all machining was with-in .000x. Paid less than $600 shipped.

I have Ray Barton 7.100 rods made by Manley for my 528" Hemi. Also using a Molnar crank.

After good reports from other owners, I'm using Molnars in my turbo Toyota L6 street car, but it's not together yet.
3 liter = 183"
8.5:1 static CR
Stock GTE (factory turbo) head, block, crank, main caps, oil system, pan
PT6466 turbo, 35 psi
HKS "mini" 264° cams
Est. 800 hp @ 7,500

or not!

What block? Can you afford to have a cheap rod break and have to replace the block? If not buy the best overkill rod you can get work up twocents
BTW, a really light weight piston and wristpin will add greatly to the rods usable life span work scope up
I'm buying parts now for a N/A 1000+HP Koleno block 555 C.I. wedge motor with B1-MC heads, not sure on which rods it will get yet confused
Not cheap ones though tsk

I have Oliver steel rods in my 572" hemi.
I have a set of Molnar rods for my dad's 540" hemi (not built yet). With more cam and ported heads, it'd be right w/ mine as far as power.

Callies Ultra Ibeams in my 572 HEMI - started with Molnars - but for a little more piece of mind went with Callies - If you go Molnars upgrade to the L19 rod bolts if available
