Changing Jaz Radiator catch can fitting to -AN - 02/17/18 02:00 AM

Looking to get away from the hosebarb ends on my radiator and my plastic Jaz catch can and replacing it with AN fittings. The radiator part is easy, not sure how to plumb the catch can to a AN style.
Has anyone done this?

I use an aluminum catch can from Summit. It has NPT thread pitch tapped, and use #4 line from the radiator. I know, not what you are asking, but the aluminum catch can from Summit is pretty reasonable.

If you absolutely had to do an -AN fitting to plastic I would drill a hole to fit the -AN size you need and use a Male Flare to bulkhead adapter and add an o-ring behind it. Then lock it down with a bulkhead nut. Here are the XRP versions of what I am talking about.

But I agree that it may be easier to just get an aluminum catch can.
