clevite upper bearings for #1

All my old shop manuals say that #1 upper main bearing is not interchangeable with 2-4-5 on 440's. Darned if I can see any difference in the uppers at all except #3. I read someplace that Clevite makes them all chamfered now so they are interchangeable. Any ideas before crank goes in.
