Need some ideas on how others have mounted their window nets.

Thanks.

Run the attachment tubes vertical. The rear tube can be fixed with a bracket at the top near the main hoop and be removable with a single fastener at the bottom. The front tube can use a rod end at the bottom to allow movement and a quick release latch at the top with the catch welded to the inside of the halo. Installing the tubes like this will allow you to bend them out away from the driver to give maximum elbow room. Just don't get outside of the outer plane of the cage. Measure where you want the net to fit and have one made. It makes a much easier and nicer looking job when the net fits the car.

I agree have one made. Make a cardboard template and send it in.

I am planning on having Stroud make a custom net. Was just curious on how others mount theirs.

I don't have any good pics here. We use seat belts lathes to put them up in the latched position for sure. Just simpler easier and cleaner. My Stratus the buckles male end faces in the pass compartment to get it out of the way getting in and out. Believe me I need all the space I can get. It is really tight on ingress and egress for sure. The lower part on the Stratus is "bolted" to the door bar, how RJ did it. We used Stroud for the net as well. Who I have always used. Just need some measurements no reason for a template. My Cuda was similar except the lower was attached with a rod on the door bar that we could unbolt. Top was one latch and net swung out of the way a bit on a rod end at the top rear corner..

I use the seat belt latch on all of mine. I'll see if I can find some pics.

Here ya go Jerico.
2-3/8" diameter tubes. Mine are roughly 12" long.
Bottom tube tapped 1/4-20 on the ends.
Top tube has female seat belt welded to it. There is a washer pinned to it on the back end so it can't slip through the receiver tube too far or let the tube come out of the net.
Your choice which way to go on the latch. You could have the female welded to the car.
4 receiver tubes 3/4" long, not sure if they are 1/2" or 5/8"? Tube I.D. is obviously big enough to fit the O.D. of the net tube. My bottom receiver tubes are mounted slightly towards the inside of the car for ease of tube removal and you don't get hung up on them.
Once the bottom part is bolted in, you just slide the top tube into the back receiving tube, click the belt and you are done. Pentastar was cut from an old MP sticker and fits perfect. I think it's a GM belt that the buckles came from.

This is how we did mine. Only thing I don't like is the GM logo on the seatbelt latch that came with the kit. LOL
