Mini Tubbed E bodies - 01/04/18 02:40 AM

Anyone have pictures with rear seats in place?
Do you have to remove the rear seats or modify them if yo put in a 2 inch section?
PICTURES please if you have an e body with this modification.
Thanks and Happy New year to all. yeah I am old and slow.

My 70' Challenger is mini tubbed & still has the back seat. Yes, the seat had to be modified & narrowed on each end to fit. I run 29.5 X 10.5W's for slicks or a 315-65/15 Drag Radials with stock wheel lip & openings.

How big of a tire are you planning on running? You can fit a pretty large tire with just a spring relocation. I mini tub does not gain a whole lot in the front on an e body.

With a spring relocation, I was able to fit 29" x 13.50 Hoosier QTP on my hoagie with stock wheel tubs. Stock B-body width rear. 10" wheel with 5.5" BS.

From the way way way back machine. I mini tubbed my Cuda back in 1998 and did the offset shackle kit as well. Had a full cage as well, rear bars followed roofline to allow for backseat. Had to modify the rear frame of the seal a little bnit to work but very easy to do. Then had it reupholstered and put it in. Many people took a ride back there when it was done..Used to take my kids to ice cream in it all the time. Sorry for the crap picture but it is a scan, that's how old this is smile Anyway the tire on it is a 295/65-15 Drag Radial

I put 315's in the rear with just a spring relocation and currently working on the rear fender roll. They fit but the roll is just for additional clearance as I drive on a road course. Hell, I was even able to put 315's in the front haha!
Here is my thread with some pics

Challenger 451, that car is beautiful. I spoke to you in the lanes at Atco on Black Friday. Car ran a nice straight pass while everyone else was skating all over the place. Tom
