28x12wide tires on 70 Dart ?

Hi, Looking to see what I can fit in a 70 Dart without
cutting/chopping. 28 x 12 ? Like a 295 on a 10-inch wheel ?

28x9 with the fender lip trimmed

I ran 28x10" slicks with the lip removed. The tires would rub if I turned around at the end of a run too fast.I narrowed the rear end 2" and now run 28x12 on the street with no issues.

Barracuda, I like the sound of that. What brand tires do you have now ?

I tried a 12" wheel with no luck, A 10" works with a 28" slick but had to trim the inner lip to clear, it's tight in my 68 dart.
