I made one of these a long time ago but it was overkill so I decided to redesign it from sheet metal. This one came out okay but I see some areas I can improve on. It sure makes it easier to work on when you can rotate the trans.

You'll need more mods if the ears r cut off for a shield. Maybe make something to bolt to the bell hsg.

Great idea. I would buy one if it would bolt to the bell housing. I have no ears on mine.

I just use a regular bench mule if it still has the ears. One short and one long bolt with a spacer to hold it square. Bellhousing bolts if the ears are gone. I'll use two pan bolt holes if it's a lightweight 904.

It needs an eye on the pipe to pick it up with.

Over the years most of those front ears were cut off both my mopar and powerglide transmissions. I started mounting mine from the tailshaft bolts (tailshaft either on or off) and it works great.

I have the eyes for the top rail but I haven't welded them on yet. I also designed a lift fixture for the transmission This makes it easy to pick up and drop into a pickup truck or to lift up on the engine stand. Could also work for a couple of guys to carry a transmission in the pits.
