Rearend OUCH !

I finally broke the ring and pinion, been in since 2011. It was not set up correctly, (my first attempt) always whined loudly on decell.
Ordered new gears and bearing from Dr.Diff this morning, great price and I think he's the only one that carries the 4.30 gear.

Doesn't look too bad....scoop out the little bits and put the cover on like you didn't see it.....

Been there, done that...Drove it till a lot of teeth came off.

I'm in this boat with one of my cars. Every year I say I'm going to fix it but, it never happens; maybe next year.

What till it breaks good so you have to rebuild the transmission too.

Got a 4.30 gear from the Doctor this morning also for my Dana 60

We broke 2 in 2 races and have been sidelined ever since. I am sure you are smart enough to do it, but make sure you check the transmission. I didn't think I overrevved ours much, but it broke all kinds of stuff in the tranny. I am sure you have more than enough winnings to cover the $$. Good luck getting it back together!

I feel your pain. I destroyed mine at Quaker City a month ago. Locked up, had a heck of a time getting off the track and loaded.

I'm currently running a set of used 4.56's from a friend of mine.... that runs a stick car. Might not be the best thought out plan. 4.30's are in a box ready to back in just in case.
