headersizing for tunnelramed 340 - 02/26/09 06:43 AM

will soon start building a set of headers for my 340, the plan to go with a blowermotor had to be aborted since i got some trouble with block and crank and that kind of killed my budget for all this
what primarytube lengths and sizes would be good for this? also what size colektors?
its a 11:1compresion .030 over 340 with the stock 3.31"stroke
cam is a solid roller cam
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 242 int./248 exh.
Advertised Duration: 280/286
Advertised Duration: 280 int./286 exh.
Valve Lift : 0.570 int./0.576 exh. lift
Lobe Separation: 110
it has some nicely ported edelbrock rpm heads flowing about 280cfm at.600lift on the intake if i remember right cant remember the exhaust flow but can find it out

it also has an old edelbrock tunnelram on it

i do have a hookerflangekit with 1 3/4" stubs for this

i plan to update this motor with some W2 heads in less than a year if i can afford them and if possible i would like the headers to be fairly reusable for that also later on,(will cut the flanges of and use w2flanges of course) i dont mind cuting the first part of the headers when redoing it with w2heads later just dont realy want to redo the whole work)
W2motor will also have a tunnelram
i do not mind doing them stepped or whatever it takes to make good power with a good fit

car is a 73duster about 3200lbs with my fat a$$ in the driver seat it has a 4000rpm stall and 4.10:1gears
thanks
