W9 Rocker Stand hardware

W9 Rocker Stand hardware - 02/26/09 12:12 AM

I called ARP two weeks ago and ordered W9 rocker stand hold down bolts. The guy said he'd get it out. Called them today to see what was up. The guy I talked to said there is no kit, and nothing was ever sent out. I need to know what size and length these bolts are and if they have a special head.

I can't believe they don't have a kit for this. What do you guys tell them when you order stuff?

DUUUHHHHH.....I would bet your local hardware stor would have grade 8 bolts in the lenth/size you would need....do you not have the additional parts to just get a measurement.....

I don't have heads or anything. I'm getting these for someone that needs them.

So I have no reference.

W9 is 7/16" Coarse....... You have to use the appropriate brand for the appropriate stand, ie. T&D stand bolts will not fit on a Jesel stand. (too tall of bolt head)

ARP just supplies Jesel/T&D with bolts, they have no idea what they are using them for, so no they would not know which bolts are correct & most likely have a proprietary deal with each company that you can not buy their rocker stand hardware through them (must buy direct form Jesel or T&D etc)

WOW, I didnt have any bolts around to look at but I
didnt think they were that big(dia)... thanks for
the catch Ryan. I want to put a stud in mine just so
I dont have to put the bolts in the same hole all the time
.... as I contoured the bolts to the runners

W2/W5/INDY etc = 3/8"-16

W7/W8/W9 = 7/16"-14

W9RP & Some Lazy W W7 stuff uses a couple 3/8's per bar.
