It took us the first 120 days to fully restock items from our many talented and supportive supply chain partners. This included over 60 custom made, Keith Black specific component part and sub-part assemblies from 26 suppliers. Many of these dedicated partners moved aside other traditional business operations to support our vision, and to help us in re-igniting this iconic brand and business as quickly as we have. Thank you.

During the last 80 days or so that we have been manufacturing, we have created a record number of engine blocks. In addition we have honoured nearly 2/3 of all customer backorders. While we didn’t have any legal responsibility to do this, we believed our commitment and action to do so best reflected our values of honor, integrity and support to the performance aftermarket community of builders, racers and enthusiasts.

We have certainly had our challenges along the way. It’s been a tough job and there’s still some way to go. We’re not apologetic, if we’ve been quiet — it’s simply because we have been working hard. We are now well on track to fulfilling the remaining 1/3 of backorders in the next 60 days, however, we do have to load balance this will commercial activities.

Operationally, we partnered with a team having irreplaceable technical, engineering, product and hands-on knowledge spanning 46 years. Their knowledge and skill is responsible for engine design that secured the greater part of drag racing championship history. We’re well stocked with engine block castings and are presently expanding our machining operations to keep pace with with market demand. It’d be fair to say Keith Black Racing Engines, in its nearly 60 year history, has rarely experienced the demand it is seeing right now.

We would like to thank our community of customers and dealers for their patience and support. In particular I would like to thank each of the patient customers having long-standing backorders. You have been truly supportive and your kind words of encouragement have kept us incredibly focused on delivering against our mission. We’re certainly grateful. Without your support all our hard work and investment to ensure the Keith Black products live-on would be meaningless and would simply not have happened.

Right now, we’re focused on getting our quality engine blocks made and to you, our customers and supporters.

From all of us: Thank you.

Darren Beale, CEO
Keith Black, Inc.

basically he is saying they will make good on the last 1/3 of the orders from the previous ownership - but they will not have priority. I think that is fair - they need cash flow - they could have just said too bad and moved on and burned the bridges - Classic case of a business who had a good demand for product but not the financial or physical resources to complete the orders they were taking - sooner or later it catches up with them and then becomes fraud. Overall this is a win for everybody in the long run

Naaaa, they thought it all through. What would one do, jump a raft, then go by Kangaroo?

Google it.

Non US based, looks like his hand is in a few one page "Coming Soon" sites.

Seems to be more hype then substance.

Want to chase a ghost?

Hes also the CEO of a "Coming Soon" Company.

Only $6895.

I can tell you if it is a good dimensional correct piece - no issues type of block block - that is not going to be a terrible price - Indy block starts at $5K and you add from there usually comes in around 6K- a world aluminum block is $5,500 - never have seen one so dont about know the quality

gone are the days of the $3500 Mega blocks

Re: Message on KB facebook page - 08/29/17 06:20 PM

Lol. How much are guys spending on junk stock blocks that make 600 horsepower with girdles, line bore, line hone, concrete, and they still break.

Re: Message on KB facebook page - 08/29/17 06:59 PM

I dont use or buy stock blocks but race block still get the line bore, line hone, you know that.

Either way its over 1k, more like $1500 to get a out of the box race block ready to assemble, at least the older R blocks, ect.
