Torque converter spec page inside

I hope this helps someone converter spec page

What is missing is the crank,converter pilot so here goes.My eagle stock stroke 440 has a
.400 from block to flexplate tab mount
.830 crank to block distance
.640 pilot depth from the end of the crank
This give about a .210 pilot on the converter max but should be less by at least .010

This is helpful,The depth of the crank bolt valley by the pilot.This should be .690 from the mount tab and .530 from the shell.The 2nd pic would have bole clearence issues on the bolts by .200" +/-

to check the crank bolt clearence to the converter lay the flex plate on the converter pilot up with bolts under the flex plate like it would be on the engine.On the last pic you can see the bolt marks around the anti balooning plate where it needs to be cut deeper by .150 and .500 wider.
ps: the crank bolts are .250 to .265" tall at the head with a bolt circle diameter of 4.250 ring to clear around them.

I am generally a stick guy but this info is great. Im saving it and thanks for posting. I do have a mopar with a 727 that has a stock converter but it is way to tight and i am going to upgrade. This info will come in handy to check everything out

To measure the total height of the converter place it drive hub down on a flat counter and measure to the starter ring from the counter and then to the bolt pads to the starter rind and add them to get you 5.475" +/- as in the page listed.Use a flat tool to lay across the pilot and measure down to the bolt tab and that is the pilot height.There are other ways to measure this also.
