If it was me it would be getting a full teardown anyway. What does the cylinder wall look like?

Luckily still see light hashmarks walls are perfect.
Gonna yank all 8 and see . Bearings look good .
If i cant find a matched piston ,
No easy fix .
Cp doesnt make strokerp istons i guess
So much for rattle can rebuild ... frown
Want to do it right , but summer is here
I think a piston replace would make it til winter .
Oh well .

Yep -Gonna be a slightly boring start to summer hope it doesnt get hot out .
Noone can match 1 or 8 pistons
Noone stocks a piston set
Noone , even 440 source has a 60 over stroker kit.

Hopefully the piston people can make a set quick

Since this happened to me with cast , and im sure i deserved it sometime along the way , should I try to go forged next time?
Going to go from 10.5 to 9.5

Thought i could easily stroke up to 4250 crank and get a new balanced kit next dayed .
With a smaller rod journal so I didnt have to grind memorial day away and be done in a couple days , but No .
Everything I own has to be difficult.

I purchased my 4.380" flat tops 4.15" stroke from 440 Source, but several years ago. Were in stock and shipped right out. Mine have .990" wristpins. What size pin are you looking for? Maybe a stock pin is the problem?

Yes big pin 1.094

Bush your rods and go with .990 pin.

Hmm
Good idea , might add some weight ?
Not much i guess

Re: H838 cp060 pistons - 05/28/17 03:35 AM

Actually, it should lose weight due to a lighter wristpin. Rod bushing doesn't weigh much.

Hi, I have a set of new H838 CP 060 pistons, please PM me if you want to buy. Only issue is my location, but sending to USA should be no big deal.

Try RaceTec/AutoTec in SoCal and see what they can do for you in their AutoTec line. It wouldn't be a stocking part but it should at least be worth a phone call. Get rid of the cast slugs and put forged ones in since it's torn down already.
