Brett The Man Miller - 04/30/17 09:40 PM

5.50s in Soup with a converter that was built for a 700hp car :)(spend the $ Brett)
Cast intake,1 carb on a 28x10.5 tire NO BARS 8.70 at 155mph.
It's safe to say this car in good air with the proper converter will run 50s or 40s.

Run converted for weather like a dyno😉
Air was was not the best.
About 2200"

Re: Brett The Man Miller - 05/01/17 05:35 PM

Almost 3 mph seems like a ton to go from 2200 feet to even 500-700 foot which would be considered excellent air in most places

You correct to sea level. Not some arbitrary number.
And the track I run at gets negative numbers. (We are spoiled with our good air here)

4th pass on new combination and went all most 156 with way wrong converter I am quite happy.

With the power it makes it should run 160-161 in good air with car sorted out. Should be able to get some low 8.50s maybe some high 8.40s out of it.

Look at time slip 5.55 to the 1/8 and still ran 8.70 its hunting mid track on.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
We will work on see what we can get out of it. 😀

Impressive numbers.....

Re: Brett The Man Miller - 05/01/17 05:56 PM

Adding 2.5mph to the 155.6 shows about 900hp.

That thing is pretty impressive for sure.

Re: Brett The Man Miller - 05/01/17 07:50 PM

Not much at all b3422,I loosened my converter 500 rpm more and picked up 2 tenths and 3 mph with just that in my barracuda.
60' went from 1.41 to 1.35

.. the Moroso slide is good for a well sorted out combination... I think from what was stated it's far from a sorted out deal
Posted By: fishy340

Re: Brett The Man Miller - 05/02/17 02:33 AM

Most important thing is it went 5.50s & 8.70 it's first day out with a converter that's been used like a mattress in a Bleep house..

Looks like it's time to put a parachute on the back of the car great job Brett

Great numbers Brett!!! I was waiting to hear what it would run. That poor converter...lol. Doing final assembly on the engine with the w8's you did for me. Should have it on the dyno in the next few weeks.

Re: Brett The Man Miller - 05/02/17 05:48 PM

That sure is awesome!!!.....
883fwhp on the day under those conditions>
60 Foot E.T. : 1.21
1/8 Mile E.T. : 5.49
1/8 Mile Trap Speed : 123.85
1/4 Mile E.T. : 8.70
1/4 Mile Trap Speed : 154
at 0

Thats the exact scenario that would make me want to spend my money and make a come back over here and wipe some of those 540ci+ 2800lb door cars we have running mid to low 9's with a few doing high 8's off the track just like I did in the old days with my 340 v the 440's.....but thats a lot of money just to go brkt or index racing, which I'm not into these days.

The car went 1.22 with old motor, that was 100hp less. The converter is way to tight for this combo, and it showed by only going 1.29 to the 60ft.
