Well the car was good, but the driver not so good - 04/23/17 10:18 PM

Finally hit the track for the first time after sitting out most of the 2016 race season because of sickness. Been trying to get myself back in shape walking 3 miles a day and keeping busier at home. 2 time trials on Friday night had the Duster running a 6.196@110.89 mph 9.775@136.12 mph and a 6.194@110.70 mph 9.776@9.77 mph. Saturdays race was a 1/8 mile race so on my time trials it ran 6.193@110.97 mph and a 6.180@111.17 mph. I lost 1st round with the Duster running a 6.178@110.95 but the driver was slightly sleeping compared to my opponents .011 light. I won the buy back with a 6.185@110.81 mph but I turned on the red-light the next round with the duster picking up .02 in the 60 foot and running a 6.146@111.14 mph pass. It felt great hitting the track again and hopefully I can get in the groove again soon.

Top bulb (box class). My lights were real good test Friday but after the long week of getting ready I was dragging on Saturday. I never got home Friday night and to bed till 1am and I drove up to the track 3 hours early to lay out and mount 4 pieces of diamond plates under my tires in my new trailer. Been kinda busting butt getting my new trailer ready for the race season. Like a ding-bat I adjusted my delay box to compensate for being tired and that bit me in the butt. LOL

I hope so. I've never been the best on the top end but my lights usually are pretty descent. Just gotta hit the track now.

Good looking pass, my car is almost always better than me the driver, so understand how that goes.

Not bad at all. Sure beats working for a living but I'm sure glad I don't have to count on my winnings to eat. I would starve to death.

Good to see you are healthy and back at the track. Best of luck. The reaction times will come back. Heck I was away for 10 yrs. It took me the whole season last yr to start getting good lights again. lol
