Re: Small block W7.8.9 intake any one put on w2/w5??? - 04/22/1705:03 AM
A W7-8-9 uses a dry intake.. meaning it doesnt have water in it.. W2 and W5 are wet intakes that have water in a couple of ports.. I have never tried to put a W7-8-9 on a w2-5.. can it be done.. yes with some work EDIT Also the W-7-8-9 use a valley pan and the W2-5 dont..they have a built in valley pan

R3 block, Brodix B1-MC heads, Ritter 420 intake. Billet valley tray with a thermostat housing. Heads were welded and tapped for the water lines. I can't claim to have created this, I bought the engine already together. Ran it like this for 3 seasons before a piston let go and I parted it out.

Right on thanks for the input any leftover parts for sale ? What was the displacement of the motor and was it a tall deck or a short deck R3

Tall deck R3. The intake was supposedly the first ever casting ritter did, so it was blank for bolt holes and such which might of helped this situation.
No parts left, I sold the entire top end for a song about a year ago.

W5dart66 had a set of w5 heads that had a 598 intake .... Never ran it.... Sold the heads.... I believe Ryan Johnson built a motor with that heads and intake but not 100% sure.
