RB Oil Pan /6 conversion - 04/08/17 10:17 PM

Hey everyone.. need some help on a oil pan choice. Unfortunately the block is in the machine shop so I cant mock it up. Its a 72 demon with a stock slant 6 k member manual steering I plan on running a High Volume oil pump so i need the 7qt capacity correct?

I used a 440 source deep pan. It worked fine. It is deep, and hangs down a bit. I also had the Schumacher mounts. Hope it helps

I bought and used a stock Mopar 6 quart oil pan for 1970/71 B and E body Hemi and 440 six pack motors with the stock 3/8 440 six pack oil pick up in my 1971 Duster pump gas low deck 512 C.I. stroker motor, I did move the motor back one inch for weight distribution and I ended up notching the K member a tiny bit to clear the right front corner of that pan sawzall thumbs
That oil pan is not real deep, the sump is long and does not hang down below the stock A body K members thumbs
All the after market 7 quart oil pans I've seen and used do hang down below the K members enough to scrape in parking lots down

I bought a Mancini 6qt oil pan (Part# MRE547) which has the tie rod but was just worried about the capacity with a high volume pump...

That oil pan looks like the stock 1966 to 1969 Street Hemi oil pan, not the shallower longer sump 1970/71 Hemi/6 pack oil pan shruggy
I've used both on street cars, I prefer the 1970/71 oil pans now up twocents
