So, I'm watching the program on PBS ..

Lady comes on with some cancelled checks from 1949 when her father was the accountant for a minor league baseball team and one team photo
she found in her dads stuff

Worth anything ??
the guy says, well ..In that photo, is Mickey Mantel ..yeah, thats worth about $5,000 ..

Lets see the cancled checks ..

Rookie year in minor league baseball, earliest know autograph on a canceled check

$50,000 !!!!!!!

She starts crying .. he says, you okay ??

Yeah.. we have 8 of them !!!

DC-no I am not saying that. They are actually a very good company to deal with. Just responding to bigdad's request Oh yeah I have a $1000 bill as well. But I collect old paper money and coins.

408dust and I (really he did all the work) pulled the trans apart this morning. To our surprise there was NOTHING wrong with it So now we're thinking converter. Except that it too doesn't look like there's anything wrong with it. I don't really know if there could be something wrong with the valve body or not.

I'm gonna send off the converter to be freshened and R&R the trans.

Chris,Yes they are all real EXCEPT the one with Ronnie. No $1,000,000 bill. The rest were pulled from circulation and IIRC last made in the late 60's, but they are all still legal tender. Do have one of those $1000 bills though.
