mad dog header fitment in A body lo deck

In the selling and trading of my sm blk parts I acquired a set of mad dog headers. They are for lo deck A body. I have a 400 block with edelebrock victor heads. I believe the victors are raised port. Using a motor plate. Will the headers fit?

How much money are you out if they don't fit?

Pm member prosport. He put a set of them on his low deck 400. It's been a long time, but I am thinking he had Edelbrock RPM on his though

Ok i'll pm him in a bit. Being that i'm using a plate i'm thinking i may be able to adjust the hieght of the engine to make them fit?

My set was an early set and was a pain in the butt. Had to send one tube back to have it modified to clear the drag link bar. You'll just have to try them and see how they fit.

I don't know how old they are, barely used is all I can say there. My question is what problems do ya think may be in my future with them as they are lo deck headers and I have 400 block with raised port heads. This my first go around fitting headers on a big block in an A body.

I had a low deck with Eddy RPM heads, everything fit pretty tight.

ok, If you had a lo deck block with lo deck headers and standard exhaust port head and it was tight, than i'm in big trouble using the raised port with lo deck header. Maybe i'll be able to adjust things with the motor plate. up/down, back/forward? Thanks
