Still need to add a piece in the ft. of the scoop to smooth the air into the filter but this was just a test and so far so good..........never ends in the quest for performance...........

I hope theres more to the scoop or non scoop then shown. Right now, its not a scoop or a cowl. Don't mean to sound negative, but right now, you basically just have a carb through the hood with a big air cleaner on it. Top what you have with a scoop and your good.

Some say you don't get much flow over the base of the hood. But I ran a carb through or to the top of the hood as yours with no air filter, and the wind shear from speed from air flowing across the hood sucked the fuel out of the carb and sprayed it across the wind shield killing the motor. I hope theres one more pic of the rest of that scoop.

I know what you're saying and it's not done but I've been playing w/this stuff for years w/mixed results and it's just for knowledge but somewhat mimics the fast ass roundy round cars and the string test sez it just may help more than it looks. Again, a scoop on a car that isn't sealed how good does IT work..............

I hear ya on sheering the fuel from the bowls and that's where an equalizer tube from vent to vent can fix or at least help...............

We don't have that good of air on the average more like 2500+ and up and sometimes WAY more but the semi-local 1/8 can get below 1000 ft. at times...............

Thankxxx and it started in my town then folks on here gave me a shot which is greatly appreciated. Haven't got em all right but have learned TONS along the way on the streets and tracks and it's only getting bigger and hopefully back to Vegas soon on MY terms not some bs promises...............

Whose air cleaner base is that? or a custom deal? fiberglass?

I've been working on this thing for 10 years no joke and if I keep the new Gold BX4, then a 4150 base will have to be implemented into this pan.........

How do I order superformance 4500 series gaskets..

So the BX4 Extreme "Mini Dominator" still uses a 4150 air cleaner? I'd expected it would still use a 4500 air cleaner, only designed to fit (with some mods or adapter) a 4150 intake.

Yes, 4150 body TOP big azz venturis and 2" butterflies in the base plate but haven't tested yet still waiting on base gaskets..........

Atco used to be my home away from home...Now I always seem to wonder where my 0.1-0.2 went even on good nights out here...

The ad on BLP's website says it should fit a 4150 with some mods, or they list a spacer part # to use. I tried to find a pic of the spacer, but couldn't find anything else about it.

Call Mark at BLP personally and he can send ya a pic like he did for me or Mark Whitener on here may know more since he got one before I did............

Looks nice! I really like the external linkage. Saves a lot of grief.

Every carb I build has it and yes, it's a game changer in terms of parts falling in the manifold and the fact you have 4 adjustments to fine tune it to your personal needs............
