Grabbed this cam for half its original cost. Brand new solid flat tappet Bullet. Looks like a custom cam, but wasnt made for my combo. Has Ultradyne NF57 lobes intake and exhaust. (Full specs in the pic attachment)
Car is all steel a body, fun only street car.
528 Hemi
Unported Indy/Canfields heads, oem rockers
4.5bore, 4.150crank
4:56 gear, 4500 converter (may change conv later)
10.7 compression
tunnel ram w custom aed carbs

How fast will it be? Would you get a hotter cam?

Duration seems pretty short for a 500ninch motor. bump

That's very similar to my Ray Barton spec'd cam. Mine is a flat solid 565/547 with 250 @ .050 in at 111*. My engine is 540" with MCH ported edelbrocks fed by the dual plane Indy intake and a 1050 Dominator.

It idles at 850 and made 697hp @ 6,800 on the engine dyno.

How much cam to run in these hot street engines comes down to how much horsepower do you want to make and how rough an idle and loss of drive-ability are you willing to put up with to get there. Your converter and gear will help to offset those issues if you go with a bigger cam.

How fast your car will be will largely depend on your tires/suspension. Hooking on the street is a real challenge with anything close to 700hp. Street tires are useless, drag radials are a bare minimum, and slicks likely necessary for all-out blasts.

For my needs, this is a good combo. The idle is bumpy enough to sound like a Hemi but the idle and off idle is not a pain to deal with while driving around. And 700 ponies moves the Cuda right along.

You bought it to use so put it in and degree it up
As far how fast will it be will be determined by you on the tuning and how good the chassis works work shruggy
What year, brand and weight A body ?

1972 demon, full interior, all steel. Never weighed it.
Id be willing to order a new cam if needed.

Let me emphasize heavily, 426 hemi motor in a A body needs all the help you can provide it on traction, traction will determine how quick and how fast your car will go, not the power of the motor work shruggy

Good street/strip cam for 528"Hemi,at pump gas C/R for a A-body with 3.73/4.10 gear and 3800/4500 converter.Big tires and 4.30+- gears can produce some excellent ETs.We used similar cam profiles with great success. You can always adjust bottom end power with cam timing.

Bob, can I ask where you would install that cam? Im only running 28" drag radials. Would you retard it?

Sorry I missed your question..no real goals I suppose. Would be nice to run low 10's. But probably need a converter change

We would install it at 108 or straight up at 110.Cam install centerline depends on the complete combo, engine and chassis.
