I don't know what makes me happier. Seeing these guys hard work on this build paying off or seeing Lyle behind the wheel after all he's been through. GREAT job guys.

Good eye, it looks like it's all smith racecraft stuff on the car in those pics. I think they maybe old, I see in the one he has santuff shocks and know for a fact it has Menscer's on it currently. I do believe he has switched to the gazzard stuff two years ago.

Rob Goss' Turbo Gen 3 challenger runs in the 6.8X's at 203ish in the 1/4 and has been 4.39 I believe on a 275.

That was my first thoughts when I saw the photo. Looks like Afco shocks in that image.

Leaf spring in the rear, all tube chassis up front. He went 4.311 his first hit today!

Could be a older picture, but Menscar uses Afco bodies for their custom builds.

If it is mild steel, then yes, absolutely it's going to bend right out past the pads on the ends. If it's .250 wall Moly tubing out there it MIGHT not, but I wouldn't count on it.

Since some seem to be so worried about what's under it. I will look tomorrow. I think they about 10 trailers down from us.

I asked him for some updated pics of the rear suspension, he said he would get a few.

Been watching the race, it's good to see Lyle and Jason doing well with the car.

I guess Lyle is broke down at the moment. He needs a wheel for a 15" spindle. That shouldn't be hard to find. They announced over the live intercom.

They found one and were able to go across the scales

We carry a spare spindle mount with a tire already mounted up. We let them use it

broke the wheel while turning off the the track to return road, took out the rotor too

Rotor is bolted to the wheel on a spindle mount set up so stands to reason, wheel breaks rotor wont be real happy..

That's a water pump, fuel tank is in the front.

Don't really know Jason, but have hung out with him and his crew at the last few Georgia races and he is a really nice guy.

Anybody Know what size the motor is now that he has switched to turbo? also what turbo is he running?

This is the setup I'm going to use. So if I order CM tube how does one tell the difference between that and MS?
I asked this question for the roll cage.when it's come time to cert the cage. Can you tell by looking at the metal that it's CM vs MS?

Yes, CM is a darker tube usually.

So what's the actual size of a 275 drag radial?
They are taller than 28 inches correct?
Do they still run a 12 inch wide rim with a 10 inch wide tire?

275 tread width 9.8" D 28.2
315 tread width 11.4 D 29.9

they do run wide rims, not sure what size,

the tires look pretty small under the cars, was down at No Mercy 8.

12" Beadlock seems to be pretty common

Lost in the semis to the event winner. They threw some power at it and spun.

Track was "iffy" at best after the rain. Had bald spots on starting line and out further as well. Finding a good spot was tough to hit it with any power. We went 1.07 the first round, but the car just got a tiny bit out of groove and spun the tires at about 200 ft and our day was done
