Drag race Salt Lake City

As a foreigner making a road trip through UT, MT, ID and WA, and being back in the weekend of September the 23th-25th in Salt Lake City, I was woundering if the drag race event at Rocky Mountain Raceways is worth the visit?

If you like NHRA Sportsman Drag Racing, it doesn't get much better than this except that the weather is always an "IF" at this time of year.

Great track and that's the weekend of the Divisional!!! will be lots of cool stock/super stock cars for sure. My buddy with his "2 Ton Tamater" 70 383 Satellite wagon will be there. I towed 9 hrs to get there in June.... to watch it rain

That would put you in Morrison colorado, about 10 hrs east of salt lake city.

Come visit, it's a good track and the weather should be good. We have a double divisional that week.

So which day will be the best to visit the event? We are leaving on Sunday so that no option. Was thinking about Saturday.

Went to The Strip in Vegas in 2011 and it was awesome!

It is a double divisional with a race Friday and a Race Sunday. We will be there from Wednesday to Sunday, but no racing on Wednesday just tech.

BTW Dick Dale is awesome stuff for sure!!!

Many awesome class cars will be there, not to be missed. I like to see eliminations, but time trial day is good for visiting with the drivers.

Weather has definitely been crappy. Supposed to be good today later. Can see the end of it but still lightly coming down but we will race today and tomorrow

To make up for the bad weather yesterday we went for the tour at Kindig. These guys sure know how to build cars!!! It was awesome!

What a crappy long weekend...36 straight hour of rain basically and a bit cold. But we got it all done on Sunday, both races!!

It was a long and wet weekend.. At least I got my car to run .926 under my index,and I won a few rounds.
