I am working on a 360 stock pistons,i plan on useing the performer intake stock 340 exhaust manifolds holley 600,for the cam i have a chance on buying the comp cams extreme engery xe256,can i use my stock push rods and rockers,does it have the noticeable idle,or this cam pretty much a stock rv cam.74 Duster stock stall with 276 gear.what you all think good bad ugly.my second choice is the MP purple shaft P # 4452761ae would it be a better choice. T hanks .

I dont know anything about that cam but if it has
more lift then most likely no you wont be able to
use the push rods... rockers.. yes but make sure
on the length of the PRs to make up the preload..
I cant say if it will be a good choice for a cam
or not but with the gear and stock conv you want
a RV style cam but with a narrower LSA to give you
that lopey sound

It wouldn't be terrible in a low cr motor with a stock converter and 2.76 gears.
It will idle smooth, no lope. Good vacuum, good low end TQ.
It won't pull too hard past 4500.

Neither of those cams will run much different. They both will work OK with stock rockers.
