Has any guys on here ever heard of this, or used it?

The read says its cheaper than Mallory but dosnt show a cost...

I use it all the time. I always thought mallory was another name for tungsten. I have an account with MiTech they are easy to deal with,and have the best prices I could find.

Mallory Metal is a brand name for an alloy of tungsten with other metallic elements added to improve machining.

You can use anything with a higher specific gravity than steel. How much you use depends on how much steel you remove, the math is accurate. You just substitute the SG of your insert material when you calculate to see how big the holes are. Gold is excellent but...
Lead works just fine and costs almost nothing, you just need more of it.
