FM Bearing defect

FM Bearing defect - 02/04/09 04:15 AM

Has anyone else seen this ? This is the second set that I got with this defect. If you look at the picture, you can see the lines running under the plating. Deep enough to feel this with your finger. Looks like tool chatter or something. Both sets of bearings had it on the same lower thrust shell.

Looks like a 3/4 groove bearing to me, is the other side the same way? If not something is really wrong, send them back if the other side is not identicle to that side

It is a 3/4 groove and the other side doesn't have the chatter defect.

That is the same P/N. This is the second set that I got like this. Both have been sitting in the box for about a year. If I got two sets, than there must be a lot of defective product out there. What are the chances of winning the Lotto twice.

Yes I have seen that and have used them with no problems.
