A short video.

I found this short video by accident on the net of my brother in his 360 Duster and me in my 63 leaving a local cruise. I know its not a racing video but I never made it to the track last year and this is the only video I have from the past two years so I thought I might post this since it seems traffic has been slower around here. The Duster is my brothers street car as he built a mild stock stroke 360 for it. It has about 10.0 comp with a stock botton end and KB pistons and factory iron heads as I forgot just what heads he used. Its a mild Comp hyd flat tappet cam around .490 lift and I think it was about 227 @ .050. He has the older TM5 intake on it and a 750 DP carb. Auto 727 with Dynamic 9.5 converter and 4.10 gears. Nothing fancy at all and it runs fine on pump gas. He has taken it to the track just to see how it runs and he ran 12.11 @ 112 mph. It runs and drives nice for what it is. Ron

No I will never sell it as its the ultimate Mopar I have always wanted. I will be 60 this summer and the only chance of it being sold is by my kids when they get it when I die. LoL. Thanks for asking. Ron

Pretty dang nice. I'm partial to the duster, that thing popped with the blue over white at dusk.

He had a friend paint the Duster and he painted the stripe and all the blue on it. The stripe is a little different then the stock stripe but my brother likes it like that and I think it looks nice. It really is a nice street car as it drives nice and is not all that nasty and will run low 12's @ 112 mph with no sweat. I am sure we could get it to dip in the 11's with no trouble but he has two race cars he races so he is not worried about making the Duster faster.

Yes I am lucky to have a brother who loves cars like me. And it makes for nice conversations at family gatherings. Our family knows if you dont want to hear car talk stay away from my brother and me. Someone else asked me why I did not get into it some and I told him thats not the place to do that. All it would do is get us thrown out of that cruise place so we all try to keep it cool at the cruise spot. Ron
