Re: Progress on the Cuda! - 02/03/09 05:44 AM

calipers, and rotors came off of my grandfathers old car

aluminum front end, 330...pretty sure it held records

my dad said that after it was wrecked, he kept the brakes, and my grandfather, and my father, put the hubs on a lathe and made them fit A body spindles...pretty cool.

so those brakes if i had to take a wild guess, i would say 25+ years old... they got some cool history to them!

all i need is 8 1.75" pistons, 2 sets of 1.75" seals, and pads.

all of which are still available!

thanks for the responses

probably are, it has strange hubs, and caliper brackets, and then the wilwood calipers.

question for you guys who have had to do the same thing i am, how do you space the caliper from the rotor, i noticed that they need to be moved just a hair towards the middle of the car on both sides for them to be equally spaced on the rotor? im guessing just thin washers/ shims?
