Mopars Invade MoKan! Are you coming? April 9th!!

This will be their annual Mopar event On April 9th. Hope to see many of you there.

I am going to try but I don't know how likely it will be. I am hopefully firing it up for the first time with the fuel injection this weekend and I don't know if I will be ready for wide open throttle use just yet.

Me and the CTB car club will be there from Wichita. First year for most of us. The car count coming varies daily with whether guys will have their stuff together or not...

There a small group of us from the St.Louis area coming down to it.

We're driving down Friday and spending the night in Joplin and will head to the track Saturday morning.

A buddy is hauling my car down on his roll back and he's planning on selling parts.
Is anyone down there looking for Hemi stuff?
That's what he's usually selling.
I think that he delivering some parts to someone on the trip.

Kayse and I will drive down in her car so she can race it and I'm racing mine.

It will probably be my cars first time at the track since the cam swap.
I just got done re-setting the valve lash since the cam break in.
Hopefully it will run more like it's suppose to.

Bill Mabrey is driving down too, probably his Challenger Conv. to show it.

A few other guys are coming too, I'm not sure what car's they'll bring.

For Kayse and I this will be our 2nd time, we were there 2 years ago but we couldn't make it last year as the date was too close to our wedding date.

We are planning on bringing two cars and always have a great time at Mo-Kan!

Was gonna head down and sell parts but apparently the clutch in my dads truck is going out so not gonna risk it. Maybe next year

not sure if I m going to make it this year,working in south Texas.

Extended weather forecast is looking good for both Fri & Sat. Sunny and highs in the 60's.

We plan on getting there Friday evening and staying at the track for Saturday.

Will be coming down from KC Sat morning to Race and swap.

Nice to meet some of you! Sorry I couldn't talk more but saw a few of you in the staging lanes.

The best part was me and 3 buddies drove the car to Asbury and back for breakfast this morning and managed to rip off an 11.30 @ 119 mph when we got back! A new best!

We just got back home from MoKan a few minutes ago.

I still need to work on getting some bugs works out of my car but we had a great time.

Everyone we talked to was awesome!

Kayse bought me one of the pics the track took of it launching.
They picked this one because you could see the sidewall of the drag radials wrinkling.

It was a great event! We hadn't been in a few years and brought lots of friends this year. The turnout and cars were spectacular. I grew up less than 45 miles from there so it was a homecoming of sorts for me.

Sorry I didn't catch up with everybody but had a great time and was able to Runner up again. I guess if you are gonna redlight in eliminations ya might as well save it for the finals...squeezed to hard on the pedal and had a .0049 red.
