In tank Walbro 255? Overkill for a carb at that power level, but will be EFI ready, or ready for any upgrade you throw at it.

I have had holley blue pumps give me great performance and reliability. One of my holley blue pumps was 18 years old when I decided to make it a spare and put a new one on. This was in a street car so it had lots of time on it.

Carter P-46000-HP will work very well.

I know a fellow who's making near 800HP with a 500 inch Chubby and going 145MPH @ 3200 lb with 2 blue pumps. And it will go mid-1.20s in 60' if he gets after it. I keep telling him he needs to upgrade the fuel system and he asks "Why?". Not what I would be using, but it's hard to argue.

I would use one of those with a regulator before I used a red pump.

iagree ... I was running 2 of them in parallel and was
running 9.40s in a 395 ci.. even two of them might have been
over kill... but I wanted to be safe.. later I was running a
pair of 140 Holleys to run 8.90s and that was over kill...
but I run a return line on all my junk so I ran a return style
regulator... and the later system was with a 1.19 60'
wave

That's all my car has used. Have run 9.90's with 2 pumps on my 440. Might stay with them for the new combo, or maybe up it to black pumps.

Holley Red through the factory mechanical pump. The factory pump supplies enough to handle 300HP. When you use it with the electrical pump you get all the fuel you need to 400HP And if the electric pump fails , it has enough suction to pull fuel from the tank and get you through the day. Also the factory pump acts as a regulator. Safe and simple.
