R.I.P. Bill "Ramsmoke" Nugent - 12/31/15 12:27 AM

Lost another one of the Old School original Mopar Factory Drag Racers.
Bill "Ramsmoke" Nugent passed from a sudden heart attack Monday.
"SMOKE" as he was known (long before Tony Stewart was) hailed from the Southeast Wisconsin area and campaigned Mopars from the Mid 60's to the Mid '70's
He was a great friend, and is now up with mt dad, and all the other Mopar guys pullin hole shots, bench racin, and definitely havin a cold one or two.
R.I.P. Smoke!

I posted this for your dad, so sorry for your loss.
I'm Wally, my dad is Bill Kroncke, they raced together a lot back in the day.
I learned a lot from your dad, he's a great man.
If you have any old pics of him, we'd all appreciate seeing them on here.

I miss the old days at Great Lakes Dragaway, wish I would have went there more than I did, but everytime I went (except for the time I launched my driveshaft) I had a GREAT time!

I have also bought a race car and will be bracket racing next year. Unfortunately I could not find a Mopar in my price range so it's a Chevy for now but my car hauler is a 2015 Ram Diablo with a 6.2L Super Charger in it. Maybe in my near future I will come across a Mopar race car I can afford and make my Dad proud.

Sorry to hear about this.

I just ran across Broadway Bob's business card... "parties crashed, uprising quelled " and it goes on like that. Good times that are long gone now.

What happened to all of the race cars?
