I'm about to install my RMVB on my rebuilt 727, and I'm curious to know how I can tell if it has low band apply. Can I tell through visual inspection?

No way I know of except looking it up on the manufacturers site

I don't know if they're all like this but I bought a Coan LBA RMVB and it requires changes to the transmission to work. Here's a link to the installation instructions http://www.coanracing.com/PDFS/InstallInstructions/COA-42011.pdf So at least with that one, you can't just bolt it in and expect to have LBA.

No I haven't installed it yet.

The car currently has a TurboAction RMVB with no LBA installed. It has a part number etched into it by TA that identifies what it is, maybe yours does too?

The servo mods are common, even with full-auto VB's. An etched/stamped P/N is the only way to tell.

I'll look at mine and see what part numbers I can find. Mine is from tranzact

Those are the the factory casting numbers. They won't tell you how it has been modified. Look for a stamped number on the separator plate.
