Pushrod question

Pushrod question - 11/27/15 10:52 PM

Manton's are 3 piece with pressed in ends. Trends are machined one piece. Any one better over the other, or just doesn't make a difference?

What difference does it make? How can the ends get out? I can't think of a reason why a one piece design would be stronger or better.

I run trends. Nice push rod. Yrs ago I had a couple pressed in cups come loose. I don't like them, but that's me.

that is what he is asking, is there a difference/preference. I had the MP cut to fit ones that you then press in the ends & no issues.

The Manton Series 5 will take way more abuse, lack of lubrication at high RPM, than any of the Smith Bros or any of the other comparable priced brands will twocents Been there , done that realcrazy OP, is the Trend brand a true one piece pushrod confusedIf so are yours for pushrod oiling or are they solid like the stock OEM Mopars are ?

Trends are 1 price.

Re: Pushrod question - 11/28/15 03:25 PM

I did go with the trends 7/16 dual taper .165 wall. the price delivered for 18 pieces was $350.00. If I'm not mistaken, Manton was about $150.00 more. I always do thing backwards, buy first and ask questions later. I guess I wanted to make sure I didn't go the wrong way.

I gave $178.00 for my Manton Series 4 11/32 x.120 wall push rods 4 yrs. ago. I guess they have gone up a bunch since then.
